They who turn their back on Israel

You are going to have to make a choice for or against God's nation
The world today is so indoctrinated by the media that it is difficult to look objectively at almost any event in the world. Let us summarise the events of the last few weeks in the Middle East, and look at the facts:
- On 7 October 2023, Hamas attacked Israel from Gaza and 1400 people in Israel died. There was no provocation on Israel's part.
- The result is that Israel defends itself, but as always, the world shouts that they do not have the right to self-defence. What did the world expect Israel to do? No other country would have been criticized if they were attacked, and then fought back.
- As the terrorist organisation Hamas has always been, they now scream that they are under attack, and display the victim mentality. It sounds pretty much like our own government. It is no wonder that the ANC supports Palestine. Birds of a feather flock together.
- Meanwhile, thousands of people have died in Gaza. Not all were Palestinians or Muslims. It is unfortunate, but that is the nature of war. However, let us see why so many civilians have already died, and will die:
- The Hamas headquarters are located under a hospital. According to Hamas, it is therefore quite right that patients in a hospital become human shields while they continue with their spineless attacks. The leader of Hamas is too afraid to be involved on the ground level in Gaza himself. He prefers to hide in luxury in Doha, Qatar.
- Weapons used by Hamas are stored in hospitals, mosques, shops, and individuals' homes. If these weapons depots are destroyed, the world screams that it is inhumane. No reasonable person uses a hospital as a weapons storage place. However, Hamas are not reasonable people.
- Israel's military (the IDF) gave civilians enough time to evacuate areas before the areas were attacked. The communication was through the media, and thousands of leaflets were distributed from the air, in Arabic. Hamas told their people that it was not true that Israel would attack the areas. They lied to their own people, who paid the price when the deadline passed, and Israel attacked. As the death toll rose, Israel was portrayed as the aggressor.
- Hamas feels nothing for its own people. As long as they are the human shields behind which the Hamas terrorists hide, Hamas is happy.
- Most civilians are not that innocent either. Just look at mostly Muslim women standing on the street and shouting about the attacks on them. It was these "mothers" who taught their own sons to kill Jews, and attack people with slingshots. Why do you not see more men on the streets? They hide in tunnels, built with building materials provided by Israel so they could build schools and hospitals. They decided to use it for other purposes, at the expense of their own people.
- The ANC calls for Israel to be brought before the International Criminal Court because of their actions against Hamas in Gaza, and Hezbollah in the north. This is the same ANC that sanctioned, and still supports, terrorism in South Africa. Unfortunately, my country, South Africa, will pay the price for this.
- The Palestinians, under the control of Hamas, who get their support from Iran, are not interested in peace. Their goal is to destroy Israel.
Here is what the Word says about Israel:
1And the LORD said to Abram: Go from your country and from your family and from your father's house to the land that I will show you. 2And I will make you a great nation and bless you and make your name so great that you will be a blessing. 3And I will bless those who bless you and curse him who curses you; and in you all the generations of the earth will be blessed. – Genesis 12:1-3
God's plan for all nations outside of Israel runs through Israel. It is simple: you are either against Israel, or for Israel. There is no middle ground. We are urged to make the right choice:
6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem; may those who love you live in peace! - Psalm 122:6
Go read the whole psalm. Life is about the choices people (nations) make. We are exhorted to pray for Jerusalem's (and thus Israel's) peace. Those who love Jerusalem will live peacefully. The rest will not have the same peaceful life. Look again at Genesis 12:1-3. You can choose to be blessed or cursed. I made my choice a long time ago.
Israel has been attacked many times over the centuries. Jerusalem is the city that has been attacked the most times, as the Word teaches us, and we see in extra-Biblical sources. History as recorded in the Bible says that God warns his people to live according to his will or pay the price. However, the entire history of the world is heading towards one great climax, in its attempt to destroy Israel. However, when Israel faces the greatest crisis in its existence, God will intervene and send Jesus Christ, the Word of God (Revelation 19:13), to strike the nations (Revelation 19:15). The nations, under the leadership of the beast (the Antichrist), wage war against Jesus Christ and his army (Revelation 19:19). He destroys them (Revelation 19:20-21).
What should you and I do as Christians?
We cannot just turn our backs on the conflict because it is happening about 7000 km away from us. Christianity has its roots in Judaism. Go and read what Paul writes to the congregation in Rome, chapter 11, how God feels about Israel and how we should act towards them. To be negative towards Israel in this day and age is looking for trouble, and it does not befit Christian believers to do so. Israel, and with it Judaism, is walking the path they chose when they rejected the Messiah. However, God has not rejected his people, and all Israel will be saved (verse 26).
The conflict in the Middle East is a conflict between Islam and Judaism/Christianity. We cannot get away from this harsh truth. Islam has never been, and is not now, the so-called "religion of peace". It is really just that - a religion (the god of Islam is false) and they have never sought peace; only conflict and war. Their plan is world domination, which is why the so-called "refugees" from Arabic speaking Muslim countries choose to go to Europe, rather than to other Arabic-speaking Muslim countries. Where there is Islam, there is chaos. Many European countries now realise that their welcoming of refugees from Middle Eastern countries could never end well. Islam has dug its tentacles into Europe, and they are not going to let go. Europe is in deep trouble, and the wrong choice they made is now their downfall.
Stand by Israel, regardless of what happens to them now. Woe to those who choose against them.
